Vooks

A collection of animated storybooks for kids to love. Trusted by parents, loved by teachers. One million kids are reading with Vooks.

I had the opportunity to contribute to the design sprints for Vooks’ latest native application, a video book streaming platform designed to enhance the reading experience for children. Working alongside a talented team, my role encompassed a wide range of design responsibilities, all aimed at improving both the user experience (UX) and the overall interface (UI) of the app.

From the outset, I focused on understanding the needs of Vooks' diverse audience—children, parents, and educators—and translating those insights into seamless and intuitive design solutions. I was deeply involved in the UX design process, conducting user research, creating user flows, and wireframing key features that would provide a smooth, engaging experience. I also contributed to the interface design for multiple sections of the application, ensuring a visually appealing and cohesive layout that aligned with Vooks' playful yet educational brand.

A significant part of my contribution was in interface animation prototyping, where I worked on creating smooth, interactive animations to help guide users through the app. This was particularly important in maintaining the app’s playful tone while ensuring clarity and ease of navigation. Each design decision was made with the goal of keeping the user experience simple, enjoyable, and accessible for children, all while maintaining a modern and polished aesthetic.

The result was a user-friendly, visually engaging platform that not only captivated young readers but also provided a seamless experience for parents and educators. My contributions helped bring Vooks’ vision to life, transforming the app into a dynamic and enjoyable tool for fostering a love of reading among children.
