I'm a designer and creative leader based in Ridgefield, WA — just across the river from Portland, close enough to the city for the food, far enough to have a yard I mow with a tractor.

The deeper I get into this field, the more convinced I am that the principles of good design aren't medium-specific. They're just good thinking — applied to a screen, a brand, a team, or a problem that hasn't been named yet. That universality is what keeps the work genuinely interesting.

My background spans product design, brand, and creative leadership — and the work I'm most proud of tends to sit at the intersection of those things. I've built and shipped AI-powered features that moved conversion metrics by orders of magnitude, replaced legacy systems that entire businesses ran on, and scaled a creative studio from zero to fifteen people and seven figures. The common thread is taking ambiguous problems and building clarity — whether that means a product, a process, or a team.

I care about whether the things I build are actually good for the people using them — not just effective at their job. Working on products for kids and families early in my career gave me that lens, and it's shaped how I evaluate design decisions across everything I work on since.

I'm drawn to work with momentum — the kind where you can feel the thing moving, where what you build this week matters next week, and where there's still enough uncertainty to make the thinking genuinely interesting. That energy lives in early products, but it lives just as much in the right team at any stage.

Outside of work, most of my time goes to my family and the friends we call family. We're always in the middle of some house project — I'm the kind of person who ends up at Home Depot on a Friday night and somehow feels okay about it. I'm an introvert who genuinely loves people, which probably explains why I care so much about building teams where everyone actually wants to show up.
